We did not expect to see another Herzog & De Meuron building in Basel, as it was not listed in our guide being still under construction in August 2005.

Yet this project, with its simple curtain wall made of non-perfectly-planar glass panes that created a broken reflection of the surroundings, succeeded in surprising us once more.
