MappaMonti - Map

This artwork was a proposal for a map displaying shops, bars and restaurants of Rione Monti in Rome.

The map contained also a mini-reference (draft version here) to help visitors locating the rione among landmarks like the Colosseo, Piazza Venezia and Stazione Termini.

The pattern artwork and the logo were based on a redesign of the traditional symbol of the rione: three mountains, monti in Italian, representing the Roman hills belonging to the rione.

We thought up also the project name: a pun on the word mappamondo meaning «map of the world» in Italian.
